From time to time we get messages from people asking us how to use mods properly, how to avoid bans, and even people asking if risk using mods. We would like to answer these questions as thoroughly as possible before you need to ask them. Is it dangerous to use mods?

Is it risky to use mods?

We always try to make mods as safe as possible. But while trying to prevent mods from detecting itself is our job, using it correctly and wisely is your job!

You must understand that you are acting against the ToS (Terms of Service) of the game, you are cheating. If you are caught using mods, your account will likely be suspended. It is up to the GameMasters/Developers if they ban you temporarily or permanently. Usually, you get the first ban between 1 day to a week and it increases every time you get caught again.

If you are not ready to take the risk of being banned, avoid using mods. Such a thing as "anti-ban" in online games does not really exist. People who make this promise without any details are not telling the whole truth or knowing the truth. Either the game is not online (then it is possible) or the "anti-blocking" works as long as you use the mod. But you can't go back to the original game. Because the account is banned on the game server, mods can sometimes (depending on the game) allow you to continue playing on a banned account.

The only way to 100% guarantee no chance of a ban is to tell you to use the game first. What do you recommend not to ban?

What do you advise to avoid being banned?

Let's assume that just using the mod has a 1% ban risk. Then you have to decide whether the risk is at 1% or increases at 99%. It depends on how you use the mod!

Here are some basic rules you should follow:

1. Avoid your content with other real players (eg: PvP, Guild-Fights, Arenas) - another real person means a beautiful enemy.

They will tell you if your win is not worth it to them. Sometimes they call you a flag because you refuse to give up. Although normal players should not be afraid of fake news like a mod user, even such news can break your neck. Once GameMaster scans your record, you will most likely lose.

If you really want to use mods and PvP content, at least do it right. Don't try to beat a better team with a bad team. Use small multipliers. Make it not appear automatically when GameMaster checks that you are using mods. If you use a low defense example like x2-x3 but no damage, it will be difficult for GameMaster to find a high level. You can still get banned if you are unreasonable.

2. Avoid content with leaderboards or ratings.

It's also more dangerous than PvP. Because it doesn't even need a story to hold you. Anyone will see that you are on the top of the leader board or leaders in the group that should not be. It's the same as requesting your ban using a personal letter to the developer.

3. Avoid special viewed/followed content (eg events).

GameMasters often check these contents for special events because the rewards are usually special for completing them. If you use mods there, follow the PvP tips. Always try to make it look natural.

4. Never start using a mod the first time in your main account!

If you start using the mod for the first time, first learn how to use it with a dummy account. Learn what you can and can't do. If it's banned - who cares? (but don't do it in a random way, you can trigger a ban on others who do the same). After you have completed your experience and are sure of the decision, you can take a risk for your main account.

I have been banned....what should I do?

Not many. You played poker, you lost. Forget it and move on. It does not guarantee to contact game support. They ban you for cheating, they will check the records and see if you cheat again.

Depending on the game, you can create a new account the hard way or the easy way. It depends on what the game checks/saves:

Device ID:

If the game uses a Device ID to save your account, you cannot create a new account without changing the Device ID. On rooted devices, there are apps that can change it. On normal devices, only a full factory reset will change the ID. Back up your personal files first.

Social Network:

Take Facebook for example. Sometimes the game stores data on Facebook, sometimes it uses Facebook only as a link. If the data is actually saved on Facebook, you can create a new account by deleting the game from your Facebook login / game and wait for about 24 hours. If Facebook is only used as a connection , you need to open another social network account to connect a new account. Some games use social media as a link, but allow you to rewrite the account. Let's say you have a restricted account on your Facebook. Then you create a new one and try to log in to the same Facebook account again. The game can tell you that another account already exists and whether you want to overwrite it or load an existing account. In this case, you can overwrite the banned account and continue.

Google Play:

Besides the fact that you need a rooted and patched device to access the mods on Google Play, the rules here are completely game based. There is no choice between using Google as security or as a link. It's still a connection. This means that you can use the same Google account for a new account if the game allows you to overwrite an old account.

Easy way:

Most of the time the game doesn't take it into consideration and doesn't measure anything. In this case, you delete the game, reinstall the game and you can create a new account without any problems. In addition, they can be very good at allowing you to overwrite the security of accounts such as Facebook or Google Play. It's always the first thing you try to avoid roughing it where you don't need to.

Important facts:

Last but not least. Sometimes, the mod is good when it is released, but then the ban starts because many people abuse the mod and the developers start detecting it automatically. It can happen. It's a good idea to check the mod post that you're downloading the mod whenever you have the chance of people throwing warnings and comments. If single people report that they have been banned, it will be because they did not follow the advice above. You can ignore them, do it better than them. But if the population starts reporting the ban, it will be too much of a ban. In case of ban: return directly to the first game and play. Try to pretend you have nothing to do with the mods and wait for the modder to announce that they passed detection.

This is the most important message so far.
